The twin of our Reflection cell, designed for transmission-geometry diffraction — at the lab or at the synchrotronun titre
The HexaCell Transmission is the twin sister of our Reflection cell, sharing the same compact, robust design while being purpose-built for transmission-geometry X-ray diffraction. Whether you’re working on a laboratory diffractometer or a synchrotron beamline, this cell lets you switch geometries without switching your workflow: the same intuitive assembly, the same reliability, the same ease of use.
Its versatility makes it a natural fit for a wide range of operando battery studies, giving you the flexibility to choose the geometry that best matches your beam energy, sample thickness, and experimental setup — without compromising on data quality or ease of handling.
The HexaCell Transmission accepts three window materials, so you can match the cell to your specific beam energy and sample requirements:
- Beryllium – excellent X-ray transmission, ideal for most operando diffraction setups
- Aluminum – a cost-effective, robust alternative
- Glassy Carbon – well suited for measurements requiring low background scattering

Why choose the HexaCell Transmission?
- Versatile: compatible with both laboratory diffractometers and synchrotron beamlines
- Easy to use: identical assembly logic to the Reflection cell — no learning curve if you already use our HexaCell Reflection
- Reliable: robust, leak-tight design for stable operando electrochemical cycling
- Flexible windows: choose Beryllium, Aluminum, or Glassy Carbon depending on your experiment
